A Journey of Reconnection

Living with chronic health issues like dysautonomia, POTS, infections, and autoimmune disorders can often make you feel as if you are lost in a forest of symptoms—misunderstood, exhausted, and endlessly circling through symptom management.

Disease isn't a puzzle to solve, a toxin to remove, or a singular pathogen to defeat. It's not about chasing the one thing that, if we just unearth it, will set us free. Disease is a language; our body speaking in metaphor, in poetry, in patterns that stretch beyond this lifetime. It is the echo of the unintegrated, the suppressed, the inherited, the unresolved. It is not something to just fix (we are not broken), but something to first understand.

If we keep approaching healing like a war to be won, we’ll end up just like the world; sick from the very battles we think will save us. This is why I lean into neuroscience, cellular metabolism and bioenergetics, because they acknowledge that healing is not mechanical, it's archaeological. It is excavation, remembrance, and integration. We are not erasing symptoms, we are tracing them back to their origin, understanding their story, and meeting them in their fullest expression so they no longer need to manifest in suffering.

The current trend in functional medicine often leans heavily on control—believing that through

enough detoxing, supplementing, or eliminating microbes, healing will follow. But the truth? That language of war with our bodies only deepens our disconnection. Healing is not a conquest. It is a reconciliation with self. It is learning to live inside your body, your lineage, your story without fear.

In nature, growth is not forced, but guided; trees bend towards the light, rivers shape landscapes, and ecosystems thrive on balance and interdependent relationships. Similarly, healing doesn’t demand the body to change, it invites it back into balance, back into relationship with itself. It is a medicine of listening, not controlling. Of resonance, not eradication. It’s in this space that dis-ease addresses itself.

Do you ever wonder if the sickness we carry is just a love letter from the body saying - please, please come back to me?
